Learning space
A cozy, aesthetically pleasing living space with attractive furnishings is important to many of us.
But what about teaching and learning spaces? To be honest, do you think about the space in which your lessons take place?
How can it support successful teaching or, in the worst case, even prevent it?
The room as a "third teacher"
Colors, shapes, incidence of light, temperature... The space in which we find ourselves does something to us and influences our well-being. Space also plays an important role in teaching and learning, even if it is rarely given close attention in the context of didactic considerations. The Italian pedagogue Loris Malaguzzi (1920-1994) emphasized the importance of space in the teaching/learning context with his description of space as the "third pedagogue".
Flexible and innovative teaching and learning spaces, whether physical, digital or hybrid, promote the development of sustainable, active teaching and learning scenarios. In short: new forms of learning require new learning environments.
...and virtual
In addition to physical learning spaces, h_da also relies on digital learning environments. E-learning platforms and virtual meeting rooms enable students to learn flexibly and from any location. (see also Tools & Technology).
The joint project "Future Learning Spaces" (fuels), in which h_da is involved, deals with virtual learning environments that enable interactive, collaborative learning processes and immersive learning experiences.
