Great honor - Great responsibility - Great opportunity

Sustainable teaching

The UN has defined 17 global sustainability goals. One of these is high-quality education.

But how can sustainability be ensured within teaching - and what does that actually mean?

Students should acquire the knowledge, skills and values necessary to promote and implement sustainable developments. This involves environmental awareness, social justice and economic responsibility. Universities play a central role by integrating sustainable principles into their curricula and serving as role models for sustainable practice.

What has the h_da set out to do?

Here everyone can find a network...

Sustainable development is not a topic imposed from above at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences; on the contrary, it has grown over the years through numerous initiatives and working groups. The Sustainable Development Initiative (i:ne) and lecture series for interested parties from all departments play an important role in this.

Support structure for teachers - The Green Office
